#YogaEveryDamnDay – Day 1: August Goals

Happy August, y’all and welcome to the first #YogaEveryDamnDay on the blog. WOOT!

In an effort to hold myself accountable and to shoutout some kickass yoga instructors of all demographics, I decided to bring my daily FB posts to my blog for everyone to see. Before we get into today’s session – a quick reminder that it’s a new month and a new time to boost your own #EveryDamnDay goals. Here’s my mission board for the month of August:

August is always a completely insane month for me: I live with two Virgos, school starts for me AND my kids in three weeks, and my boundaries can get a little shaky when responsibilities emerge. I love that my planner includes a monthly mission board to keep me on track when I’m ready to stick my head in the sand and pray for daylight. And yes, I will actually pick up my cell and call my friends this month I PROMISE!

Okay, on to today’s practice:

The Instructor: Kassandra Reinhardt of Yoga With Kassandra
The Practice: Vinyasa Flow (1 hour)

Kassandra is one of my fave YouTube instructors, hands down. I even preordered her book, which I use for seasonal and new/full moon yoga practices. I began tuning into her during the 2020 pandemic when in-person yoga classes were not happening. While her collection offers a lot of relaxing yin yoga (her specialty) and short-but-sweet morning yoga, she also offers flows like this one that will leave you with a nice yoga sweat afterwards. I did this one this AM before work and it left me ready to take on the day. In 60 minutes, Kassandra flowed me through balancing poses, some ab work, and heart opening bridges. No props required and perfect for you advanced beginners/beginning intermediates out there.

See you on the mat tomorrow!
