Trash TV – especially Love & Hip Hop – is one of my mindless guilty pleasures, so I dedicate the subtitle to one of my scripted reality faves (and Brandy’s brother), Ray J. If you’re familiar with the L&HH: Hollywood franchise of the show, you’ll recall that he popularized the phrase to the corniest level possible. Nonetheless, the core concept rings true: everything is what it is. That’s why doing yoga at the end of a stressful day can be the best decision ever.
Some benefits of a PM practice include:
- Reduces anxiety
- Aids in building a bedtime routine
- Improves circulation
- Encourages weight loss
- Soothes muscle/joint pain
- Reduces insomnia
Now, on to today’s practice:
The Instructor: Arianna Elizabeth
The Practice: PM Slow Flow (35 mins)
Yesterday – really, this entire week! – weighed heavy on me. Between recovering from my tummy troubles to work-related stress (and did I mention school starts for my kids AND this #GradSchoolDiva in four days?!?!), the first thing I did when I got home was this practice. It’s not only beginner-friendly, but more stretchy than flow. Perfect form to destress and leave your day on the mat. I have this saved to my Yoga playlist for future use. Yummy practice – enjoy it!
See you on the mat tomorrow!
