![#YogaEveryDamnDay – Day 42: Random Yoga Updates](https://elizadavid.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/yogaeverydamnday-blog-graphic.png)
Happy Sunday! Since I think most of us like to take it easy on Sundays, this post will follow suit. I’m not talking yoga shop or poses, but I have some updates to share. Maybe you’ll find an opportunity to participate or for inspiration for your own practice!
Full Moon Yoga
If you’ve been following the blog – first of all, THANK YOU! – you’ll recall my #Yogi2Yogi chat with Emily Rose on Day 13. In honor of last night’s Full Moon in Pisces, my BFF Nirosha and I took part in Emily’s yin yoga class at her awesome Iowa City studio. The two of us don’t get together very often because of our stacked working mom schedules, so a relaxing yin yoga session was just what we both needed.

Me & My Alo Moves
Speaking of busy schedules, Alo Moves has been working out splendidly for my time crunched days. I mentioned the fitness streaming service during Day 34 and it hasn’t disappointed! For someone whose schedule doesn’t always align with those of most yoga studios, the programs have been a great compliment to the in-studio classes I attend (when I can make them!).

I recently finished Mind, Body, & Soul Flows, my first full series with the program (YAY ME!). The five-day series focused on strengthening the inner connection to your practice by spotlighting a different set of poses: forward bends, splits, hip openers, core, and backbends. It felt great but was quite challenging. It was just the push my practice needed as I take myself from intermediate to (baby!) advanced. I look forward to more series completions with Alo Moves. Highly recommend the service if you have access to it.
Lesline’s Yoga Challenge
Another yogi I had the pleasure of speaking with on Day 38 was Lesline Pittman, a yoga teacher with an amazing story (seriously, you should read it). Today kicks off her yoga challenge (which you can follow on Facebook and Instagram under the tag #ldwyogachallenge). The rules and poses are below – and yes, there’s a free prize up for grabs! Comment below if you plan to participate because I’ll definitely be posing it up!
